Twin Serenity
Għargħur, Malta | 2024 | Pavilion
This project explores temporary architectural structures designed to provide shade, shelter, and gathering spaces within a natural landscape. The design is based on geometric forms that emerge from the ground, creating partially enclosed spaces that offer protection from the sun while maintaining visual and physical connection with the surroundings. A lightweight mesh canopy structure is used as a key element to filter light, create shadow patterns, and establish a visual landmark within the landscape. The project focuses on the relationship between architecture and environment, exploring how minimal structures can create functional social spaces while responding to climate, light, and terrain. The overall concept aims to create a sculptural yet functional intervention that blends architecture, landscape, and public spaces.
